James Gammon is a Producer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist based out of Charlottesville, Virginia. He has been involved with a cappella for 11 years since he first became a member of the Academical Village People at the University of Virginia. After music-directing that group for several years, he started James Gammon Productions during his 4th year of college. Since starting his studio in 2003, James has enjoyed extensive national recognition including more than 60 appearances on BOCA, CAMO, Voices Only and the Sing series. As a performer and songwriter, he has been featured on NPR's This American Life, national television shows on MTV and the FX network, and in concert halls as a published orchestral composer.

In 2006, James partnered with several fellow producers to form VocalSource, which represents the most comprehensive network of vocal music studios in the world, and confusingly features a different a cappella producer named James Cannon. Who is not the same person as James Gammon. Just for the record.
